Montenegro... the Jewel

In the Middle Ages, Venetian sailors, seeing the dark forests of current on the slopes of Mount Lovcen pines, christened the country Monte Negro, "Black Mountain" - a name later translated into "Crna Gora". It is this translation that Montenegrins still prefer to use.
Despite a short open on the Adriatic front, it is between the limestone peaks beyond 2,500 m, powerful natural fortresses, that hides the soul of Montenegro, the smallest of the former Yugoslav republics. Slavic people, Montenegrins, ardent opponents of the Turkish conquest in Europe, resisted. In these fights, identity and nationalism made Orthodox faith was forged around monasteries and bastions of the Prince Bishops. Separation referendum from Serbia in 2006 (end of the state of Serbia and Montenegro) has only crown this reality. Montenegro is now a sovereign state.
Montenegro, 60% of the country is located more than 1,000 m above sea level, never forget that also in the Mediterranean. It is thus possible, in mid-season to ski and swim in the sea on the same day! The coast, jagged alternates cliffs and beaches of sand or pebbles.
In the center stands out the jewel of
Montenegro: Kotor Bay, the southernmost fjord in Europe, forming a notch in penetrating 28km inland. Coastal cities, like Kotor, a World Heritage Site by Unesco, cultivate a quiet charm, marked by the Venetian Renaissance imprint and that of Austrian Baroque.

Scotland, land of mist ... lovers moors covered with heather and romantic lochs, cliffs and waterfalls filled will return, especially if they venture in the northwest of the country, to explore the
Highlands. This region is among the best preserved in Europe: fewer than ten people per square kilometer! It perhaps is a higher density of sheep ... some atypical shaggy cows and rebellious fringe (Highland cattle) and countless seals and birds that inhabit the many islands. Change of scenery guaranteed!
As for the Scots, they are discovered very warm, just like the atmosphere that often prevails in pubs. Their food also reveals a few surprises, such as haggis, the famous haggis, dreaded home and yet acclaimed "best dish of Scotland."

Cyprus...the remains of the Byzantine Empire

According to legend, Aphrodite, goddess of love, was born from the foam at a point where the water flows over rocks on the coast of Paphos. That is why Cyprus was called "the island of love", a charm that would continue long through legends like throughout history. Then ambitious nations coveted its strategic importance, as well as its rich copper mines and forests of pine and cedar.
Land where the sun all year around, Cyprus offers a change of scenery, both in its rural landscapes, mountain and marine. But this independent republic, both Greek, Eastern and cosmopolitan door injury: a true Greek tragedy plays on both sides of the Green Line that divides Nicosia, the capital, turning it into a Berlin Mediterranean.
Traveling from east to west, from Ayia Napa to Polis, staying on the coast does not mean seeing Cyprus. Stay on the island enough time to enjoy it. Visit ancient castles, monasteries, hill stations, forests, admire the wildflowers of spring, see ancient farming methods. And do not be surprised if you greet a stranger on the street; it is in good manners in this country to welcome the stranger with a smile.

Although the crisis has changed the situation, London always has the odds and young Frenchies are nearly 100 000 have crossed the Channel to try their luck in the European Eldorado, becoming the de facto economic and cultural capital of the Old Continent. GDP generated by the British capital is close to that of Sweden! That says it all. In fact, property prices exceeds that of New York or Tokyo and hunting many Londoners distant suburbs.

Brazil...land of contrasts

More than a country in South America, Brazil is a continent in the continent: almost 8,512,000 square kilometers, 286 times Belgium, nearly 16 times the France!
"A land of contrasts," said anthropologist Roger Bastide in a formula that made success against brutal materialism mysticism exacerbated sumptuous splendor carnival daily against poverty, against futuristic baroque colonial delusions of Brasília, ardent Christian fervor and trance possession African gods, colossal fortunes against endemic undernourishment ... We did not finish in the list.
Amazon infinite colossal Iguazu Falls, the quadrilateral of drought in marshland Pantanal, Brazil, nature reached the extremes of excess. Exaggeration! That may be the key to Brazil. A civilization that is constructed, defeated, reborn with crunches, explosions and incredible energy.
So come to Brazil for its beaches, for the sun, for his music for the single mad world of the carnival, for its rain forests and jungles of the cities ... and especially to shake your beliefs, to let you devour, delicately, without resistance, by "Indians" and "Indian" natives of this land ... Madagascar...Red island

One of the largest islands in the world, the island continent, Red Island ... all these images of Madagascar hide the sanctuary of a unique nature and a mosaic of people from migration.
In Madagascar, the variety of landscapes, people and their origins set the tone. Inside the country, the land gradually become bare, the rivers carry the red laterite while the hills and traditional mud houses are the charm of the Highlands. On the East Coast, rain, winds and the memory of European pirates give this green nature a story to Joseph Conrad. Further south, the landscape saw the thorny bush and semi-desert. In western distant Mahajanga displays its Muslim influence, while the savannah dotted with baobab recalls Africa. Finally, at the northern tip of Madagascar, Diego Suarez keeps track of the last outpost of the French colonization.
Madagascar is also the land of the ancestors. Malagasy cultivate the traditions of people from Indonesia and Africa, who sailed up together to form a twenty ethnic groups whose customs fascinate budding ethnologists.

Thailand...Journey to the land of smile

There are several Thailand. First, Bangkok, more than 12 million people, and urban megalopolis hyperactive monster when you get lost with pleasure. Then south, islands, beaches and rocks rising up from the sea, its spicier cuisine, has a slightly different and Muslim influences. Finally, the North, deep Thailand, with former original founding kingdoms, its relaxed pace of life, its Buddhist temples, its fertile land, its mountains and forests ... Three Thailand so physically and culturally different.
However, from one end to another in Thailand found the national qualities: a strong identity, Siam never colonized and have developed arts, culture and even own alphabet. Acumen and social conventions of politeness, modesty too much, peace and dignity. A strong religiosity and jointly an almost reverence for the Royal Family, God's chosen (openly criticizing the king is punishable by imprisonment!). Finally, a lot of humor, and a strong appetite for everything from fun especially - Thai Epicureans, always ready to party, eat well and drink well.
Unfortunately, the mercantile spirit and increasing tourism could distort places the amiable character of Thais. So: coastal strip sacked, transformation privileged sites in ghettos tourists, rising prices, profitability takes precedence over the service, etc.
That said, Muang Thai (etymologically, "the land of the free") remains one of the last countries in the world that so many quality ingredients for a successful recipe for an ideal holiday: wooden bungalows on sleepy beaches, vast rice fields and jungle-covered hills, living traditions, speedés businessmen and ancestral tribes, refined and varied cuisine at prices (still) ridiculous.

Today, hundreds of islands, converted into resorts, home to nearly 800,000 guests. The first structures in the holiday type have given way to luxury resorts.

Beyond this idyllic setting, be aware that the rising waters due to global warming ultimately threatens the archipelago.

In short, it is not idle. Moreover, multiculturalism and religious tolerance are to be credited to a conscious system of social cohesion. Compared to Malaysia, where even the capital lives in a rhythm (almost) serene, Singapore is always eager to save time on time. The city-state wants to be an example for the region: it caters to both the jet set as the business community, but now seeks to offer a new face, cultural this time.
