Italy...Cradle of the Etruscan civilization

In northern Italy, scenic beauty, rich heritage and ancient traditions make the Aosta valley an attractive region. Lakeland has always attracted and captivated visitors, romantic nineteenth century international stars, spellbound by these pearls with clear water nestled in the foothill landscapes of great beauty. Piedmont is the Po Valley, the amazing rice fields of Vercelli, good wine and culinary reputation of the Langhe and Monferrato. Liguria, wedged between sea and mountains, is famous for its mild climate. This is the Italian Riviera. Levant side, the Cinque Terre, five small villages clinging to their mountain to avoid falling into the sea. Strong landscape, while breakaways, in balconies, cornices.Central Italy buzzing with the excitement of its cultural highlights, from Florence to Assisi and Siena to Perugia. In Tuscany, the cypress groves are arranged sparingly on the hills and interfluves a nurturing and enchanting region. Umbria, the largely mountainous terrain, deserves its name of "green lung" of Italy.
In southern Italy, Campania combines plenty to offer: Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum - the most visited archaeological sites in the world - the famous and ... pizza. In Puglia, the landscapes are adorned with powerful images: an oak braving the sirocco in the middle of a hill, tablecloths poppy slashing tender green wheat in spring, changes in white and gray stones, a vegetable protected by ancient ramparts. Calabria, the tip of the boot, tickles Sicily. The limestone cliffs plunge into the sea, with tiny coves of white sand. Ionian side, long beaches vie with granite reefs lower side or swamp. Inside is tough raising mountains, softened by lakes and forests
